Our studio based headshot session fee is a flat $200. This includes:
- No time limit on your session
- Unlimited outfit changes
- Pre-session consultation
- One on one post-session advice for image selection
- An amazing headshot experience!
At the end of your session, we'll sit down, grab a cup of coffee, and review all of the images we shot. At that point, you'll pick your favorite shots to be professionally edited and retouched. I will give as much or as little input as you like on which shots I feel are best. (It's sometimes nice to have an opinion other than your own. We are often our own worst critics.) In addition to high resolution JPEGs, I will also provide you with the same images cropped and sized for social media platforms such as LinkedIn. You are in complete control of the final cost of your headshot session because you get to choose how many images you want. Images are $50 each. This price includes professional retouching.
Every person has different needs for their headshots and I don't want you to pay for more than what you need. Selling images in packages forces you to confirm to what I think is best instead of letting you decide what works for you. On the day of your session, you can decide how many images you want!
I honestly believe that you will not find a better headshot photographer or a better headshot experience in Central Texas than what we offer. I am fully committed to ensuring that your headshots are of the highest quality and that they are serving you well.
Group business and corporate headshot packages are available on location. Please contact us for more details.
The biggest thing I want to avoid is you leaving your headshot session with images that are not what you wanted simply because I ran out of time and was not able to really do what I need to do. It doesn't matter how experienced or inexperienced you are in front of the camera, it takes some time to get the right expression. Headshots seem like just a simple picture, but taking this simple picture can make people feel uncomfortable. I get that. My goal with each and every image is to two-fold: I want you to look (1) confident and (2) approachable. That might happen in the first five shots. It might take an hour. That's completely okay. We are not restricted by an arbitrary time limit. So either way, we have plenty of time to do as many outfit changes and take as many pictures as we want (by the way, there's no limit on outfit changes/looks).
Throughout your session, I will be coaching you on everything you need to know. Expressions, angles, positioning, hair, all that stuff that you don't need to worry about. My goal is to get some amazing images and we'll spend as little or as long as we need to get the shots you want. I love shooting headshots...so I'm in no rush to finish your session! While confidence and approachability are important, I also want you to look relaxed and competent...like you're in control of the situation. If you don't look like that, your headshot might be doing you more harm than good. It's all about first impressions and what people subconsciously feel about you when they see your headshot. We can get this perfect mix of confidence and approachability...and have a great time doing it!
Once or twice throughout your session we will take a break and review our progress. We will identify what we like...and what we don't. That allows us to make critical changes throughout the course of your session to ensure that we are always working towards getting the best images possible.
I strive to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere in my headshot sessions that lends well to getting the expressions you need for your headshots.
We schedule a maximum of two sessions per day: one in the morning and one in the evening.
This is important because it allows us to spend as much time together as needed to get the images that you want. Some people immediately feel comfortable in front of the camera and can knock out the pictures they want in 20 minutes. Others need more time in front of the camera to get images that they really love. Either way, our goal is to provide you with sufficient time to really relax and feel comfortable with the process. We don't want to keep you any longer than needed (we understand that you're busy), but checking watches or feeling rushed because other clients are waiting only adds stress to your experience. Each and every person gets the individual attention they deserve and need in order to get the headshots they want. Lighting, posing, and composition are, of course, very important. However, I am experience enough that I can get all of those things right within the first few minutes of the session. Much more time will be given to what is really important in the session...you and the expression you portray in your pictures. It's much more important to me that I be able to give you a quality product that exceeds your expectations (and images that you can be proud of) than it is for me to shoot as many people as possible in one day.
